Bank of Ireland Finalist in the Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence
Lloyds TSB Award for People Management, Training & Development
Bank of Ireland in the Isle of Man was recently announced as one of three finalists
for the Lloyds TSB Award for People Management, Training & Development at the inaugural
Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence. The Awards are designed to recognise and
celebrate the success of individuals and organisations in reaching their full potential.
The high profile Awards evening was held at the beautiful Victorian Gaiety Theatre in Douglas
on 28th November, with Gyles Brandreth, the well known after dinner speaker and broadcasting
personality, as compere and lively entertainment provided by the legendary “Rat Pack” and “Marilyn Monroe”.
Represented by Michael McKay, Chief Operating Officer, and Gillian Dick, HR Manager,
Bank of Ireland received recognition at the Awards ceremony for its high Employee Engagement
scores, low rates of staff turnover, high levels of tailored staff training support, and achieving
and maintaining the high standards required by the Investors in People accreditation.
With over 140 entries overall, the competition was intense and the winner of the Lloyds TSB
Award category was Charterhouse, a corporate service provider based in the north of the Island.
On being announced as a finalist for the award, Michael McKay said, “We are particularly pleased to be recognised
