We appreciate that many customers have made enquiries seeking clarity in relation to the Guarantee issued by the Irish Government. On October 27th 2008, Bank of Ireland Group issued the following press release, which confirms that Bank of Ireland Isle of Man (I.O.M.) Limited is covered by the guarantee.

Bank of Ireland which includes its branches in Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the United States, along with its subsidiaries Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank, ICS Building Society, and Bank of Ireland (IOM) Limited have executed guarantee acceptance deeds under the Irish Government's guarantee Scheme and have been specified as covered institutions by the Minister for Finance under the above Scheme and the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act, 2008.
