Bank of Ireland Offshore Wins Prestigious Award

Bank of Ireland (I.O.M.) Limited was named Best Offshore Structured Product Provider at the International Investment Offshore Fund and Product Awards ceremony held in London recently.

The International Investment Awards are now in their sixth year and are devoted to acknowledging the achievements of the offshore financial services industry. The awards are seen as an industry benchmark with each entry subjected to an independent multi-stage judging process.

This year more than 40 groups entered the awards, and the judging panel, composed of senior people involved in the investment industry, was strengthened to take into account changes in the offshore market. This year the structured product award was presented to the best overall provider rather than the best product, as it has been in the past. The awards’ judging panel believed that with so many tranche offerings in the market it would be more relevant to present the award to a group that consistently creates good quality vehicles rather than to a single offering open for investment over a relatively short period of time.

Michael McKay, Chief Operating Officer, who accepted the award on behalf of Bank of Ireland, said:

Our focus on the provision of market leading structured products has now been independently recognised within the offshore financial services industry, and this emphasis on developing innovative product solutions will continue going forward.”
